At the Cinemalaya 2008 (Manilla film festival) we saw the short film ‘Andong‘. It’s about a boy who lives at the former smokey mountain. Andong Andong (since everything good is repeated in Phills) must be the most cutest boy alive and when searching for money to buy a lottery ticket to win a tv he has to work his way literally through the dirty smokey mountain. As protection from the sun he wears a shirt around his head. A style used by Filipino’s all over the country. Back in Holland I tried to copy it and make it my own. ‘The Andong Andong stilo’.
