We flew to Hong Kong and back with Aeroflot. I know. I know. But this was simply a flight too cheap to ignore. Every time we took off I thought of Najib Amhali’s sketch. The one were the Russian airplane falls apart and the pilot is drunk on vodka. Well…our connection to Amsterdam was cancelled and thus we had to stay one night in Moscow. Since we didn’t have visas we ended up being imprisoned in a hallway in the Novotel watched all night by this guy (this is how I found him at 7.00 am). Our rooms were smelly, the food was bad and we couldn’t leave, there was no MacGyvering out of there!
Lucky Isabella (who is just the coolest 6 yr old ever) was with us so we had fun anyway.
I’m glad I stole the Aeroflot blanket before, that’s probably the only nice thing about the whole company. Seems like they selected the stewardesses and ground crew solely on the qualification of being grumpy.
