In Beijing I first noticed the comfortable cotton pants and blouses with colourful flower or geo patterns the older women wore. Matching trousers and blouses. In the Muslim district of Xi’an, they wear a ‘non-matching mix it all up’ style finished with head scarfs also with patterns. I bought a few nice pants, so here’s a picture of the most popular pattern in the Muslim district, it’s freaky right? I read on the net that for Shanghai World Expo 2010 there’s a campaign kicking-off which must convince the Shanghainese to leave their pyjamas at home when going about. Pretty sad, I think the pyjama-women look great!
